Roy is currently the Deputy Division Chief for Cyberspace Security, U.S. Africa
Command, Kelley Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany. Prior to this, he is a two-time
squadron commander, having commanded the 561st Network Operations
Squadron and the 386th Expeditionary Communications Squadron. He completed
assignments on the Air Staff serving in the Air Force Colonels Group and two Air
Force major command staff tours. Roy has served in a variety of duty positions
within the cyberspace and communications career field to include: Special
Assistant for Cyberspace Senior Officer Matters for the Commander, Air Force
Space Command; Director of Staff and Executive Officer, 35th Fighter Wing;
Network Operations and Security Center Chief, Air Force Reserve Command;
Director of Operations, 35 Communications Squadron; ICBM Launch Control
Systems Programmer and Space Surveillance Training System Programmer, Space
Systems Support Group. His deployment experience includes: Operations IRAQI
& ENDURING FREEDOM. He received his commission through ROTC, and his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from East Carolina University in 1997.
He received his Master of Science in Information Resource Management from the
Air Force Institute of Technology in 2003. Roy was recently selected to attend an
Air Force Fellowship for Cyberspace Defense at the Idaho National Labs, Idaho
Falls, Idaho. He is an Air Force leadership mentor to more than 25 junior Air Force
Enlisted and Officer leaders. Roy was a founding leader of the Panzer Chapel
Men’s Bible Study Brotherhood, Stuttgart, Germany.
