2016 World Affairs Conference – Veteran Fellowship Program
I recently had the opportunity to attend the World Affairs Conference 2016 in San Francisco, CA as a participant of their Veteran Fellowship Program. This annual conference attracts globally minded individuals to discuss and share ideas that are at the forefront of US foreign policy. Some of the topics included: US Leadership: Where Do We Go From Here?, Global Economy Today: Can the US and China Work Together?, Is Democracy in Crisis?, Cyberwar and its Defenses, European Union- The Rise of the Right, The Immigration Dilemma, Protecting America’s Competitive Advantage, and Is the US-Iran Deal Unraveling? The expert panelists and speakers engaged with these subjects on a daily basis shared history and insights, current situation, and future projections which stimulated either conversations for context, commitment, or action.
The World Affairs Conference and its Veteran Fellowship Program is an excellent event that extends a one-year complimentary membership to its veteran participants to give free or discounted access to other World Affairs Council events throughout the year. I highly recommend all veterans to participant in this value-added opportunity!
